Sara (Mailloux) Escobar

            Sara Escobar is the founder of Wielding Workplace, a consultancy that supports companies in using Workplace to attract and retain top talent. Her clients have included top companies in tech, media, hospitality, utility services, and finance.

 

She comes from deep experience working inside organizations as the former Global Head of Real Estate and Workplace at Riot Games, Honey and Hulu. In these roles, Sara oversaw worldwide workplace strategy, real estate, workplace design, construction project management, facilities, workplace programs, operational M&A integrations, workplace systems implementation and data analytics, IT/AV and safety and security. As Hulu’s original employee #2, her experience spanned multiple phases of company growth through a 12 year tenure. She also worked with Netflix as the Director of Workplace Experience during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on facilitating employee engagement and productivity during the transition to virtual work.

 

Sara holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Oregon. She has one published research study, multiple published articles, and speaks as an expert on Workplace at some of the top industry gatherings. She lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband, Michael. Together they enjoy travel, wine, the beach, and playing with their dogs, Gretyl and Rita. She also volunteers her time with multiple philanthropic organizations including the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Planned Parenthood, Year Up, and For Goodness Cakes.
